Grissom Air Museum will host its annual car show on Saturday August 3rd, with vehicle registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The cost will be $15 per vehicle paid, at the gate, the day of the show. Gates will open at 9 a.m. for general public, with $3 admission for 12 and older, and 11 and under being free.
Come out and see hundreds of classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Visitors can enjoy food, DJ, 50/50 drawings, great airplanes, and our indoor exhibit and gift shop! At 10 a.m. the gates will close for vehicle registration. Awards will take place at around 2:30. The first 250 vehicles will receive a free dash plaque, and there will be best of class awards for the top 90 vehicles.
There will also be five special awards that will be handed out at the car show. This year, there will be five classes, or categories, which divide the cars based upon the year. This year the classes are: pre 1954, 1954-1979, 1980-1999, 2000 and newer, and a motorcycle class! Parking under the planes is a first come first serve basis, so come out early to park under the plane of your choice!
All proceeds go to the Grissom Air Museum to help preserve our planes and exhibits, so come out and help us preserve the “Can Do” legacy!
